Reports on Existing Installations
At one time or other your equipment will fail or indeed may be put out of service by way of a prohibition notice from your insurance company.
Ultimately, you may indeed have equipment that is at risk of failure or is not installed to current standards, to reduce the risks of possible reactive spend or unnecessary failure we can provide an appraisal of your equipment by way of a survey and report commenting on the following:
- Contractor performance – are you getting what you pay for?
- Current reliability, commentary on problems – why is this equipment always breaking down?
- Evaluation of your equipment versus current standards.
- Lifecycle costs.
- Potential upgrade recommendations.
- Commentary on potential risks.
- Budgetary costs to enable accurate forecasting.
- Provide a report to be retained as an asset register.
- Commentary on proposals from contractors.
We actually enter the lift shafts, pits/traps and motor rooms to gain this information unlike some other consultant organisations offering to provide such reports.
Let us be your eyes
Pre-Acquisition Surveys
interest. Liddell Buchanan Ltd can provide both advice and specialist reports tailored to individual needs, identifying future maintenance issues to counteract possible non-budgeted and hidden costs
Maintenance Management
Such consequences of breakdowns are often overlooked or miscalculated because when your equipment fails it is not just a case of lost time and potentially missed deadlines, but this will effect output, efficiency, personnel morale and increased management hours to deal with such issues.
We at Liddell Buchanan Ltd excel with this process, removing these risks and ensuring comfort, in that, our consultants are monitoring and managing your portfolio of equipment in order to ensure regular effective maintenance is being carried out efficiently, Loler reports are being addressed, service/call-out reports are being rationalised greatly limiting the risk of breakdowns with this process.
Maintenance Contract Compilation/Evaluation
Liddell Buchanan Ltd can commit to producing a maintenance contract to best suit your requirements.
Our contracts ensure performance is matched with ability, resource and commitment from the successful contractor therefore, offering you the added benefit of your contracts being overseen by specialists in this field.
We can also appraise current contracts ensuring future contracts entered into do not have hidden risks.
Contractor Evaluation
As construction is becoming increasingly complex, with ever-growing demands placed on clients, competition and regulatory agencies create a burden that must be managed in a cost effective manner. These challenges present a paradox; few of these demands directly contribute to the physical construction of the project however, failure to properly manage them can lead to problems for the entire project and design team.
In terms of existing projects or properties that have contractors undertaking their respective roles to provide a service, we can evaluate these contractors to bring piece of mind ensuring they are actually fulfilling their contractual obligations at all times.
Design Assistance
Should you decide to appoint Liddell Buchanan Ltd to assist in the design of your equipment, we can assure you will be appointing industry experience of 33 years plus, with appreciation of your requirements from conception of design until completion and handover.
Our flexibility is a key strength that ensures you not only realise your design concept but more importantly rest assured we are able to counteract possible design flaws that may have resulted in future reliability/performance issues allayed with our knowledge and appreciation of current regulations/standards being incorporated into any design at the outset.
Principal Designer
The Regulation aim is to integrate health and safety into the management of any project over 30 Days with 20 or more workers working simultaneously or 500 person hours.
Liddell Buchanan Ltd can assist in making up part of this team with our staff having extensive experience with the newly defined CDM Principal Designers role from the previous CDM Coordinators role.
The current Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) will be substituted with HSE and Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Industry Guidance and it shall define our role as CDM Principal Designer to provide the client with a key project advisor in respect of heath & safety risk management matters.
We will also advise on appointment of competent contractors and the adequacy of management arrangements, ensure proper coordination of the health & safety aspects of the design process; facilitate good communication and cooperation between project team members and prepare the Health & Safety Plan.
Don’t take risks!
Project Management
- Delivery Focus – This is critical, in that, projects must be focused on delivery in terms of dates, budget and business benefits, knowledge of methodology is not enough. Our ability to orientate and adapt to the client environment very quickly and make the project delivery meet the business objectives is our key strength.
- Relationship Builder – Projects involve people and they play different roles, our ability to recognise this and define what roles these people play to the benefit of the project is a must.
- Commitment – It is somewhat short-sighted to assume all projects do not have highs and lows, with our absolute dedication to succeed and motivational skills we ensure everyone on the team have the same commitment.
- Adaptive – Being able to become adaptive and adopt a certain style to suit the individual project ensures we fit into the culture of any organisation.
- Assertiveness – Being assertive and not aggressive will reduce conflict and contention and enable our projects to be delivered at all times in a professional manner.
- Lateral Thinking – We are able to formulate answers to resolve issues or mitigate risks with our creativeness and lateral thought.
- Executive Attitude – We are able to deal with wide ranging concurrent issues whilst remaining focused on the delivery of the project.
- Competitive – The will and absolute commitment to win over all obstacles results in a successful delivery of any project we manage, ensuring we derive satisfaction from the professional outcome.
